About the event
Free film night! This month we're showing Joy (2024, BBFC 12A certificate), starring Bill Nighy, Thomasin McKenzie and James Norton. The film is based on real events and centres on three real-life scientists and doctors who contributed to the development of in-vitro fertilisation or IVF.
Doors will open at 7pm, and snacks and drinks are provided. Following the film, there will be a short discussion where all can share their thoughts on the film and the issues it explores. There will be a donation pot if you would like to support our film nights. This is not compulsory, but any amount you can give will help with the running costs of hosting free to attend events like these.
